BackupAndRecoveryService.exe - Application Error (converting to VM)

Thread needs solution

Greetings all,

I am running the trial version of B&R Workstation 10 build 11345 in Windows XP on a one month old Dell Latitude E6500. I have been tasked with making backups of hard disks acquired during an acquisition (duh) for the purpose of creating virtual machines so my department can more readily access the historical data stored on them. The problem I am having is that while I get through the backup ok, B&R always (and I mean always) gets an error on the convert to VMWare. It appears that the process made it to 100% but B&R still shows the task as Running (@100%) and for whatever reason the application error occurs, and I cant be comfortable that this operation succeded. I have attached a jpeg of the error I received on my latest attempt and will gladly provide more info if it will help (just not sure what to include ATM). Any help is greatly appreciated.

According to your account, you tried the trial version of Acronis Backup&Recovery 10. Please send me a  Private Message if you want to give the issue a closer investigation.

Actually, you should collect the below information to help us to find the exact reason of the issue:

1)  Please obtain dump files using Userdump.exe tool.

2) - Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;

- Choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu (or "Action" menu under Windows 2000), enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "System Information File (*.NFO)";
