Does anyone else have this problem?

While cloud back up is running, consuming say 2.2 mb/s of bandwidth, my 20 mb/s internet connection is torched. Half the time I cannot connect or run CNET's speed test. When I can run it, speed test often says I have a connection of less than one meg, sometimes only 300 kb/s.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

@RonaldK, is it possible that your Internet connection is 20 mb/s downloading but considerably slower uploading? A lot of Internet connections are asymmetrical in terms of bandwidth. I have seen situations on my Internet connection where saturating the uplink causes downlink issues if the router/modem is not prioritizing interactive over batch traffic.
