ATIH 2011 Not Working with WACOM Intuos Tablet (Win7 x64)
Just upgraded to ATIH 2011 from ATIH 2010. The new UI for ATIH 2011 does not seem to be fully compatible with the same Wacom Intuos tablet/mouse I used with previous versions of ATIH. This tablet/mouse works fine with all other Windows apps, including the ATIH 2011 Rescue Media Builder.
Basically, with ATIH 2011 I can mouse over items in the UI, and they highlight ok, but it is hit or miss whether mouse clicks on the item will be recognized (most of the time not recognized). I end up having to use the keyboard to navigate throught the UI, or plug in a USB mouse.
Again, this is the ONLY program on my Win7 x64 machine that seems to have a problem with the Wacom mouse/tablet.

Here is what I found out further..
My previous posting relates to running the product within the Win 7 OS. When using the created by me Media Builder CD and the downloadable ISO image burnable CD, the cursor was totally frozen and I even tried the quiet acpi=off noapic parameter. Disconnected my Wacom tablet and hooked up a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 (which is a batteried mouse and a USB receiving unit)--worked like a charm!! So that is my work around solution when using CD media or the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager.

Same Problem here with ATI Home 2011. The main UI is unusable with Wacom Graphire 3 Tablet (does not respond to clicks most of the time) when running from Windows XP SP3. I haven't tested the rescue media, yet.
All other programs work fine.

My problem is exactly as described by William with same OS and input hardware. I reported the problem to Acronis on Sep 15th. All I got was updates every 4 weeks or so that they are still working on it, if you believe that.

Same problem with the quite old Wacom tablet Graphire 2, left mouse clicks don't work. I have to use the pen in order to use ATI Home :-(
It may give Acronis a hint if I deinstall the Wacom tablet driver ATI Home works fine. Of course that is no soulution at all but just a test.
My OS is Win 7, 64-bit

I have carefully checked all our internal resources, and found no mention of a known issue that would match your description. Thus the situation requires investigation. Could you please do the following?
- Please download QT creator from here, install it, and check whether the device's working properly
- Specify whether the issue's present on some particular steps, or every time you're using Acronis True Image Home (Try and Decide feature, for instance)
This information will help us to localize the issue and find an appropriate solution for it.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

@Yana:
Following your message above I have installed Qt Creator and it shows similar problems with my Graphire 3 mouse. As Michael G stated, the pen works OK.
Seems as if you would have to address this issue to Qt / Nokia for fixing this probem.
By the way: If I weren't a developer who always considered looking into Qt sometime, I wouldn't have installed a 1.6GB software development environment to reproduce a bug in True Image ;)
Happy coding / fixing,
Martin.

Yana,
I'm using WACOM Intuos3 tablet and mouse. Here are some observations on Qt Creator: (1) Title bar buttons (Minimize, Maximize, and Close) always work, same as in ATI Home 2011. (2) Menu bar items (File, Edit, etc) do not work as expected. For example, when the cursor is over the items, they do not highlight. When I click on the item, it does nothing. One way to get it work is to first click outside the Qt Creator window then click on the Menu bar item. It still won't highlight but it works (i.e. pull down menu appears). When you click again, the pull down menu closes and clicking again will do nothing. Continuing to click on the same Menu button item do nothing. You can click another item and it may work. It's very random and not repeatable. (3) Mode icons on the left side of the Qt Creator behave differently than the Menu bar. You can always get it work by first clicking the mouse outside the Qt Creator window than click any of the Mode icons. You have to click outside the window each time before selecting any of the Mode icons. If you don't do this, it may work but very rarely. (4) One other observation, when I was double clicking over one of the Menu items with Qt Welcome screen displayed, it highlighted the work "You" in the sentence "You can set the preferred ...". I appears to me that although the cursor tracks the mouse movement correctly, the application appears to think the cursor location is some other place. That's about it for my observations on Qt Creator. I'm very curious as to your reason for selecting this particular application. It does show similar problem to what I'm seeing on the ATI Home. All my applications work fine with Intuos3 tablet and mouse.

Hello Martin and John!
Thank you for your comments! These were very helpful.
Our development team is still working on the compatibility with Wacom Tablet, still it appears to be Wacom issue as well. You can see the bug description here.
Let us know your thoughts and suggestions.
Thank you!

Hm, let say it the way around, Acronis is the only software I installed that has that kind of probem with the Wacom tablet. Windows works fine, the Adobe Suite works fine, some very special panorama stiching software works fine, ...
In the meantime I tried different Wacom driver versions: 6.15-3, 6.16-5 and 6.16-7. No difference.
I am just about to return the software. There are so many other problems I'm getting tiered finding work around solutions all the time (with the pen).

FYI. Build 5519 did not solve the problem.

Sorry it should be 6597, I think. When I checked my build using Help/About it shows 5519 but I did upgrade few days ago and upgrade completed successfully. When I run Help/Check for updates, it says I have the latest version. Is there any other way to verify the build?

I use a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet with the mouse tracking set to pen mode
Wacom Version 5.2.4-5
Screen is 1920x1080
OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
True Image Home 2011 is Update 1, build 6597
No cursor positioning problem with any program I use until I have a TIH window selected.
As soon as a TIH window is selected, the positions of the cursor becomes limited to an
area of about 594x245 estimated pixels with 0,0 at the upper left corner. The same
occurs if I use the pen in pen mode.
Another way of describing the problem is the display is approximately 53mm wide and
30mm high. When TIH is selected, cursor movement is limited to a 16.5mm by 6.8mm
area from the top left area of the screen. The cursor position within this smaller area is
still relative to the position of the mouse on the tablet.
I am not certain when this problem started but it was not seen with TIH 2010 and XP Pro.
To use Acronis TIH 2011, I must move the Wacom mouse away from the tablet and use
a normal mouse instead. Does anybody know of a way to allow the Graphire4 in pen
mode to work with Acronis TIH 2011?

I can confirm the same issue.
Windows 7 x64
Quaddro FX3700
I have a wired mouse connected to get past this issue. Interestingly enough, I have seen this issue with one other application: Sorenson Squeeze 6 (www.sorensonmedia.com).
It's funny when a company decides to use a kit like QT and then passes the buck by suggesting it's a QT problem (and of course, the folks responsible for QT claim that it's a Wacom problem).
This issue has been open for quite some time now. I'm not happy about this and I've been an Acronis customer since version 8. Perhaps it's time to move on to another backup solution (there are many).

Hi, well I did finally get the Wacom working with Acronis. I did notice that once in a while after reinstalling the Wacom software that it would be ok until the next reboot. I reinstalled it a few more times and finally I found that it stayed stable.
I feel it is mainly a Wacom/Windows 7 issue, perhaps 64 bit only but something in the Acronis initialization was kicking the Wacom into a strange mode. It is working fine now so I assume there is a Wacom installer glitch.

Good day to all using the Wacom mouse and ATIH 2011 - 2013. After grappling with the issue of general failure of the Wacom mouse to trigger actions in the ATIH2013 UI (2011 and 2012 as well) and in QT Creator, I came across a post that shed light on the solution. After decreasing the double-click speed of the mouse (Control Panel, Mouse, Buttons, Double-click on the Mouse Properties window) a couple of notches, Wacom mouse began working, mostly, in ATIH2013. Occasionally, left clicks will become none responsive, but if I lift the mouse off the tablet and set it back down, then left clicks usually become responsive again. Sometimes it takes a click outside the ATIH window and then return to it.
Hope this works for others; at least until Acronis or the makers of the QT framework find a better fix.

Hi folks, I'm facing the same issue, but with a Cintiq12wx and TrueImage 2013 on W764.
So, with Cintiq12wx I have no mouse or option to change between mouse/pen as in Intuos. So, it is just pen.
What I found out was that the pen must be static, you cannot shake a nano millimeter while clicking. If you click with the pen very stable with no movement, what is most of the time impossible like a mouse, you get to make the click works.
I found out a workaround.....
If you set one of your function tablet buttons (ExpressKeys) as a double-click, you get to make it works. I mean, pen over the icon/link and press the ExpressKey button you have set as double-click instead of clicking with the pen on the tablet or instead of clicking on its pen button. The link/icon will work. At least it does here. ;0)
Now I wonder if Acronis found out any fix/solution for it once I just purchased the ATI2013 and what I see from the posts above it comes from 2010 issue.
As others said here, "All other programs work fine", to don't lie I have other one or two that have the same issue, but I would say it represents less than 1% of all programs with such issue. So, all other 99% works fine.
Best wishes and have a nice weekend.

^ Just to share, it seems to have improved after updating the BIOS to the latest version (3602) on my ASUS P8P67 3.0 rev B3.
For those that have the same motherboard, you can download it from here: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67/#support_Download_30

I have the same problems with an Intuos tablet and a PC running Win 7 x64 and ATIH2013. The Wacom mouse will not work with ATIH2013 under Windows OS or when it boots from a Boot Media. It appears that this issue is now at least 3 years old. Why is there no comment from Acronis. If the problem has no fix then at least tell us so.

Same problem. Some other programmes seem to have the same problem e. g. VLC, HDR project 2.
