1 CLICK BACKUP

Thread needs solution

This is a bummer for me, I was thrilled with the possibility of the 1 click feature with Acronis home 2010, but now I found out that every time it creates an image, it will erase the previous one.
I like to keep multiple full backups.
Is there a way to create a new "job" with an desktop icon like the one click that will do an image of my system drive + MBR, but will not delete the previos saved image?

I too would like to complain about "1 click Backup".

From my perspective, it is a recklessness to delete automatically, without warning the user and without asking hom for an OK, to delete something (in this case, a previous backup), that might be very important for the user.

I should probably have described already yesetrday the following:

As a work-around (this is clearly not a "solution"), you can try the following: before running the "1 click Backup" move (e.g. with Windows Explorer) the content of the folder that contains the previous backups to another location. If the other location is in the same volume: the "Move" should be quick.

Another alternative, would be (of course) to do the Full-Backup via the TrueImageLauncher.exe (=this is what I call, perhaps inadequately, the "main" program of ATI Home 2010). But this is of course not a "1 click" launch.

Even if doing the Backup via TrueImageLauncher.exe, beware! There are some instances, where even in this case, and even if the user requested otherwise, pre-existing Full Backups get overwritten. One method that has been proposed by others, is to issue automatically pre-process command to move automatically any pre-existing full backup to a secure folder.
