Errors every day for daily backups

Thread needs solution

Using True Image 2011, Windows 7 x64.
When I brought up the Acronis app, I see a red banner around both of the daily backup tasks saying that the last backup has failed. I click where indicated to see the log, and see a long list, so it's been happening for a while. It says it "cannot open the data stream" when it "consolidates".

The same thing is happening for both jobs, when one is a partition backup to a network location, and one is a file-based backup to a local drive.

Looking at the directory where the files are going, I see a file for every date, up to today. I manually told it to "verify" (the file-based backup to local drive) and it says it can't find backup number 9, etc. for many numbers. The log shows that the verify completed without error. Running verify again, it only complains about numbers 2 and 1.

Possibly one of the files in a chain became corrupted. I would move these backup files to a safe location and then start backups anew. See if ati makes a backup that way.
