Inability to start scheduler for True Image - Totally frustrated and unhappy with Acronis True Image 2014

I am about ready to tell Acronis to stick where the sun does not shine. I am for a fact stopping my automatic renewal regardless. I disabled the Acronis start-up processes to see if it was the cause of memory and CPU usage crashes. When I discovered that True Image backup would not start unless I reactivated the scheduler service I clicked on the link to "Enable scheduler service." when that did not work, I restarted all start up services to no success. I rebooted and tried again, several times. I even did a registry scan and clean-up. No luck.

I have two issues, the first one is the one above. The second is that I should be able to start and stop any Windows third party process at my will and not be forced to make it part of start-up.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, is there a solution?

I HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM!! I AM ALSO VERY FRUSTRATED!! DID NOT HAVE TIME TO USE IT BEFORE AND NOW THEY SAY I HAVE TO - PAY - TO GET HELP !!!

I RECENTLY BOUGHT ACRONIS 2014 FOR 3 PC. BUT THERE IS A BUG! Ii CANNOT BACKUP, I GGET MESSAGE "SCHEDULER SERVICE IS STOPPED AND DISABLED"
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ENABLE! sO IMPOSSIBLE TO BACKUP!

Yes, Aconris does offer a refund if requested within 30 days of purchase. Posting on the forum is a not a recognized method. Posting on the forum is asking other users (such as myself) to help you.
Register your serial numbers and then contact Acronis support via the link in upper right corner of this web page, or the help along left margin.

If help from other users is wanted, then post information about
which version of Windows.
Confirm which version of TrueImage causing the issue.
Describe more info about the problem.

You might try this TO RESET SCHEDULER SERVICES
GH59. Set TI Scheduler services flags

Please try this ...

Start -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> scroll to Acronis Scheduler2 Service and double-click -> SET Startup Type to Automatic Click OK
Close all windows and restart ...

thank you for your posting.

By default after installation Acronis Scheduler Service has start type set to "Automatic".

However, some optimizing utilities (such as TuneUp etc.) can change startup status of services for example in order to decrease startup time.

Hey there Martin. I was looking through the errors for the Acronis 2014 that I have and I have this same problem that people are mentioning here. I have set my services in administrative tools to automatic and it did change things but did not fix the problem I have. I then change it to enable but with delayed start and at one time it said it was enabling it and that is as far as the program got. Any more ideas would be helpful because I am beyond my refund date to do anything about it and I am frustrated about this. Thank you in advance for any help on this matter!

Update on my Acronis 2014 not able to start some of the tasks. I am happy to say that after a couple of restarts, for some reason that I am not about ready to explain how or why, It is working like a charm. Thanks for every one's comments that led me to the repair of mine.
