BOOTMgr is missing, tried to repair with W7 CD and commands

Thread needs solution

Hey.

I've done a backup of my W7 bootcamp partition, using acronis and "disk backup".
I tried to restore it on a bigger partition.
And now I get "Boot mgr" is missing.

I tried to restore several times.
At the restore screen, I can check two disks:
W7 disk, and a "MBR" disk.
I tried several times, checking both, or only one...
Windows was still not booting, but I get different errors.

I tried to repair it with the W7 CD, and I get errors like "This CD can't repair automatically W7", and I have tried these commands:
Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot
Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

It's been weeks since i'm trying to get my windows back. :/

Thanks for your help.

Most likely you have not marked the restored partitioni "active"
From the command prompt, type
DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK X, where X is the disk that should boot
LIST PARTITION
SELECT PARTITION Y, where Y is probably the system reserved partition, or the C:\ if the former doesn't exist
ACTIVE
EXIT

)if you can take a picture of the outputs of diskpart so that we can see what you have in reality
then
Bootrec.exe /scanOS
You should now see your active Windows installation
Then do the commands you have above.

Thank you for your answer.

I tried these commands, no errors.. But I still get that the boot manager is missing.

I also tried "Bootrec.exe /scanOS", it worked successfully.
But still no boot manager. :/

(sorry for the screen capture being in french, my W7 CD don't offer me to put the language in english :/)

Wait, i just re-read your post and I realized this is a bootcamp partition.

ACronis doesn't support bootcamp. Did you backup your bootcamp partition to restore it to a Windows PC or something?

Nope. I want to restore it on my mac .___.

So there is no way I can get my windows backup working again on my mac?
It can't be restored only because of bootcamp? :/

Damn, if I only knew that before... I would have made a simple windows backup :/.
I wasted like 10 hours installing and configuring pro softwares on this.. :/

Is there any way I could make it work?

It looks like a product like WinClone would backup and restore BootCamp.
I would do some research on how to restore a VHD image to Bootcamp (I don't know whether WinClone does this).
Alternatively, you could restore your image to a Windows PC, then maybe back it up with software that transfer Windows PC images to Bootcamp.
