Locked out of installing TI

Thread needs solution

Using TI Home 2010. Backups stopped working. Was getting an error and looked at the support forums and found an option that said to load SNAPAPI.503 and that just crashed TI. It wouldn't even load up. So I completely removed TI, including going through the registry and removing all leftovers. Now I cannot reload TI as it says there was a previous installation that didn't complete so I need to restart the installer. Which just leads says the same thing.

Any ideas on how to restart the installer? I can't uninstall it as it doesn't show up as installed. I've restarted the computer several times.

Thanks,
Russ

Sigh. So I guess after reading all the posts about not getting support from Acronis I shouldn't have been surprised. I tried the Clean up utility and just at the end it said it had to turn off Windows Explorer to delete some files and then would turn it back on.

Watching everything as it was being deleted it sure looked like it got everything.

When it came time to restart Windows Explorer that had an error. So I rebooted.

Well first thing is the Acronis Restore Feature, where you press F11 to get in before the computer goes into your OS was still there. Hmmm. Good thing though as my computer no longer saw my hard drive and I was in a constant loop trying to restart it.

Fortunately, since the Clean Up Utility didn't actually clean up I was able to get my computer restored from a backup and only lost some stuff.

Plus they sent me an email wanting me to buy their Internet Security software. I can only imagine how that is going to work. Probably find Windows as a virus.

Since I cannot seem to get Acronis to back up while in windows I guess I'll have to use the F11 feature from now on.
