Hi.

How long does it take to clone one drive to another?

This is a system drive only 100gb of data. Source drive 320 gb to the destination drive 500gb.

These are internal drives SATA.

My system seemed to be hung on the reboot step of the cloning process.

I was never give any indication of the cloning progress. Is this normal?

What should I expect?

If TI hung on the reboot step, then the cloning didn't take place.

It's generally recommended to boot to the TI CD and do the clone so you have more control over the process. In addition, in most cases, if the TI CD can't boot successfully to TI, a reboot from Windows will also fail. If the standard TI CD created with TI has problems, try the ISO download version from your Acronis account (available with TI 2009 and TI 2010).

The speed of the process depends on the drives involved, the interface, and the speed of the computer.
