Cloning of hard drive from old desktop to new desktop
Hired someone to do the above, so I could continue working on backup computer. This person stated that Acronis True Image 2014 Premium, build 6673, can't clone from one computer to another that have different processors. I just want to verify that this is really the case, as I specifically purchased Acronis True Image 14 Premium for this purpose. My old desktop computer is running an AMD processor and the new desktop is running an Intel i5. Due to this so-called problem, this man had to manually recover my old acronis backup to the new computer & most of the time it was done incorrectly, i.e., I spent 5 days correcting all his mistakes, missed work, & suffered a lot of frustration, not to mention paying for something that was inoperable until I fixed it. Can anyone tell me whether this issue is true or not? I would feel a lot better about the whole ordeal, knowing one way or the other, & it will also help me in the future should I ever have a similar case. Thanks!

I think you should avoid this Tech. He obviously does not know how to use the software and giving back to a customer a machine that the customer must then repair themselves is totally unexcuseable!
