In-version upgrade

Thread needs solution

This morning when I logged onto my computer I got a pop-up that there was a new version of ATI available. I missed clicking on the pop-up so I went to the Acronis website under Product Updates and clicked on "Build # 6688". I have the 3-user full version installed and it wanted to download a trial with a new key so I canceled the download. Opening True Image on my computer and checking for updates says I'm up to date, but I have build 6673 and the update is 6688.

Update or not?

Thank you,
Jan

6688 does bring some updates. I have been running it for several days without issues on my Win 7 laptop.

The only change in build 6688 and 6673 is that Universal Restore has been stripped from the program and is now a downloadable ISO file. The lists of fixed and known issues are identical in both builds.

It was released shortly after the issue with incorrect partition layout on GPT disks after disk mode recovery was fixed in the 2015 Beta. I had hoped they were also applying the fix to 2014 with this update, but it isn't even listed as an issue.

In 2013 they couldn't waste resources releasing a new build to fix the issue that the bootable media created by the final build of the application couldn't see GPT disks. Yet releasing this final build for 2014 seemed worthwhile.
