i think it was last year or maybe even the year before that but i was reading in these forums and people were posting links to some site that was offering TI and DD combo for like $20.00 or $30.00

anyhow i was just wondering
01 if anyone knows any good specials like that?

and

02 is there any other software store that offers digital download like this site does....

i see newegg has acronis trueimage 2010 for like $23.99 with free shipping but im scared to get it because all the problems people are having with it.

i have (2) sata 80gig WD hard drives and (1) 160 WD hard drive in a RAID0...(so total of 3 drives in a raid0) with vista x64 installed to it.

i would like to buy the version of acronis that will let me create the bootable media (probably make a cdr) and then boot with it to backup my entire RAID0 to multiple DVD-R`s

so can someone give me some info on this

You might want to rethink backing up to optical media. It is slower than backing up to another hard drive, but the real kicker is when it comes to restore off the DVDs. If the backup is spread over 4 or more discs, in the restore process the same discs will be called for over and over again. The restore does not call for the discs in the order they were made.
Even with 3 discs, there is a fair amount of swapping but not that much where you might begin to think that your drive tray mechanism might wear out before you're done.
