Where is the Consistency? How reliable is Acronis?

Thread needs solution

I keep having problems with Acronis. It just is not a straightforward program. I figured that a disk backup is somewhat of a mystery. So who knows how that works, when it in fact does the backup.

But with files backup, that should be simple. But its not. I have it set to backup daily at 11:00. (I wish I could have it Monday-Friday, so that it does not start up first thing Monday morning) This week it did back up the files on Mon and Tues, but not Wed and Thurs. I noticed it this morning, Friday, and had the program open. Now its backing it up and taking, so far 45 minutes. The "Time Left" has been at 4 minutes for 45+ minutes. I do not know why any of this happens. Some days it simply does what it should and backs up in 7-10 mintues. Now I see its backup up all the files after 10, update-only backups.

Also if you want to check the files backed up. You have to go through a long process. Why not just be able to click through and see the files. If you click on yesterdays backup icon, after a long while, you get the same thing, as the previous screen, a list of all the backups. The View is not Details, so you have to change that to see which backup it is. Then you get to C: and can click to the files you want. Why the extra two steps? Why not have it go to Detail View.?

You should send the above to Acronis via the feedback option on the Support Page. No one here can change what the app. displays. As far as the backups not taking place when they are suppose to, is your machine always on at 11:00 for the backup to run? It sounds like the backup schedule you have is creating a full disk backup after 10 incrementals, is this what your schedule is? If so everything is normal.
