TrueImage.exe resource usage cpu memory

Hi,

I'm having a problem with running Acronis True Image 2014 and high resource usage.

To reproduce:
Start computer, log in, launch Taskmanager and leave for ten minutes to stabilise. In Taskmanager I see physical memory usage is about 2.45GB, CPU at about 0-1%.
Launch Acronis True Image 2014, do nothing else.

What I see:
One core of the CPU runs at 100% continuously, second core usage increases to give overall CPU usage of 60-70%. Physical memory usage steadily increases over 20-30 minutes up to 95-100%. By this stage the computer is unresponsive. It is very difficult to shut down properly in this state, taking many minutes to respond to clicking the start button. As a test to see what would happen I let it run in this state for 5 hours - it continued to run and remained unresponsive.
Closing the application soon after launching - the window closes but Trueimage.exe continues to run for approx. 45minutes. After Trueimage.exe closes, the cpu and physical memory usage drops to a much lower level.
Working within a twenty minute slot after launching (until physical memory is used up) I am able to administer my backup schedules. My backups scripts run without problem.

What I've tried:
Un-install True Image. Download (check MD5) and install new copy.
