Restore functionality in TIH 2015?

Thread needs solution

Hi! I am currently a TIH 2014 user. I have looked at the TIH 2015 new user interface screenshots on the Acronis website. These are the 6 main tabs:

Backup
Sync
Tools
Account
License
Help

So I notice that there is NO RESTORE tab!!!!!!!! So my question is: Is it possible to restore files from TIH backups at all? As I see no restore possibilities on the user interface screenshots!! So I wonder whether a Restore of single files from a Volume backup is possible at all in TIH 2015???

Well of course you can restore! And you can restore specific files and folders from a volume backup.
If you decide to try 2015, makes sure you do a full backup with 2014. That will make any roll-back possible, if you have a change of heart.

Of course it restores, both from within the Windows application and from the ATI Rescue Disk. We recommend that disk/partition restores be performed from the ATI Rescue Disk.

EDIT: Ah, Pat beat me to it. I guess I had the reply compose window open for a while before submitting as I had to take a call.

I see from your screenshot that you have to go to the BACKUP tab make a RESTORE. How illogical!

For example, if you have TWO volume backups: "All my PC" and "My Data partition". How do you find out which of the two backups contains the MOST RECENT backup version of "MyFile.docx"? Do you have to look inside BOTH backups, each separately?

There is now only one main view in TI 2015, so task, backup and recovery are all on the same page. The recovery option won't show until you have made an image or if importing previous tasks, once the task is clicked on.

I have nearly the same Problem. Backup goes ok, but when I try to restore I only find the backup files under windows, But there is no restore button.

I had this problem before on e different computer and resolved it by uninstall and reinstall of Acronis True Image 2015. Than it worked. Now the same problem on this computer.

I got the message, that a backup failed (where is the log?) It was nor recoverable (for me). I tried to delete this broken backup by menue delete with backup files. TIH didn't return from this action. After 2 hours of runnig (hang?) I rebooted windows (W7 64). I had to force the shutdown of windows. After rebooting I can create new backup tasks, can backup, BUT THERE IS NO RESTORE BUTTON for all newly created backups!

What happened? What can I do, when not uninstall and reinstall?

tnx Holger

So far nobody has answered my question:

If you have TWO volume backups: "All my PC" and "My Data partition". How do you find out which of the two backups contains the MOST RECENT backup version of "MyFile.docx"?

You can right click the file, select properties, and select the Acronis Recovery tab.
