recovery of windows recovery partition (D: drive)

Thread needs solution

I have two windows Vista computers(A and B) and both Acronis 2009 and 2013. I need to reinstall the windows recovery drive D: on Computer B. I made a tib backup of the original windows recovery partition on computer A using Acronis 2009. How do I recover this partition to the computer B with Acronis 2013 to overwrite the original D: drive?

When I tried to do this Acronis 2013 does not show the "D: drive" when I tried to choose a destination the program shows that the partition D: from computer A will be mapped into drive E (D:-->E:). How do I overwrite the original D: on computer B?

I tried to see if I could reclaim the D: drive partition on Computer B using the Acronis 2013, but D: did not show up.

Back up your destination disk. Run Acronis from the bootable media. You'll be able to read your backups and see the destination partitions. I forget whether or not Acronis displays drive letters, but it doesn't matter. The important thing is to pick the physical partition that Windows assigns as "D:" when you boot from the drive.

Thanks for responding.
I did exactly as you suggested, but the Acronis program does not show the target partition on the computer B. It shows the unallocated part and then says that it is going to install the backed up D: drive from computer A into drive E: on computer B. It "sees" the D: drive on computer B but does not give me the option of overwriting it, it just wants to add the backed up D:partition to the unallocated space on computer B and called it the E: drive..
