Thread needs solution

Version : Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation trial (English) Build # 11345

I have 3 xp workstations and a Netgear Nas device
setup the AMS on xp created a vault with the NAS created image to NAS no problem.

problem I have agent side both workstations asked for the credentials to the managing computer after entering the appropriate ip username and password I get prompted to add user to remote user security group. I select the user with admin rights on the list and continue. after completion I browse to program files and there is only the run bootable media build installed. why? I also tried to validate from the AMS with failure. Also tried adding each agent to a node as well as the vault with no success. I have tried running a full image to the NAS device and it looks like its working. the AMS dash board is still reporting errors but will probly clear upon completion. durring the full image backup I tried once again to add workstation as node and failed

please advise.

Probably the Management Console component was not installed. Did you choose to install it?

Also tried adding each agent to a node as well as the vault

What do you refer as 'node'? AMS? Or Storage Node? Anway, error info may help.

Thanks for the reply dev-anon

installed the management console component and it works fine. I am not sure about after a reboot of the workstation.

The node I'm referring to is the Storage Node

still unable to validate my vault (NAS Device )
ERROR..........
Password for protected archive is incorrect. Additional info: -------------------- Error code: 22 Module: 161 LineInfo: a0f87a51d6f9ce20 Fields: IsReturnCode : 1, $module : C:\Program Files\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\mms.exe Message: Password for protected archive is incorrect. --------------------
where are the credentials stored for NAS device?

As error says 'Password for protected archive', it's not about credentials for the device, but pasword of the archive set in 'backup options'->protection. Did you specify archive password when created that achive on NAS?

yes archives are password protected when I try to validate the data its fine but when validating the nas drive getting the same error.

can you tell me where I can store the credentials for the nas drive when I reboot the workstation or close down the manager program I have to input the password information for the NAS device.

It's impossible to validate a vault with password-protected archives - nowhere in validate wizard you can enter the pasword, but it is required during archive validation (and the vault validation is validation of all archives it contains). When you validate one archive, you are prompted to enter the password and it is passed to the validation task.
