Created an image, how do i boot to it

I created an image of my system disk. restored it to a new drive, but when i did boot selector, i did not see the new image?

If you restored it to a new drive, the next step is to try booting the system with the new drive as the booting drive. (Disconnect the old drive).

What boot manager are you using?

Unless you prepare the partition being "copied" before you create the backup or modify it after you do the restore, this type of procedure usually doesn't work well.

What are you trying to accomplish? A dual-boot system? Just a test to see if the restore works?

The devil is in the details and you're not giving us much to go on.

1. Which Operating System; XP, Vista, Win7?
2. When you say "boot selector", what do you mean? The Windows boot manager or a third-party boot manager? If a third-party boot manager, which one (Grub, BING, Acronis OS Selector, etc.)?
3. A screen shot of Windows Disk Management showing the layout of your disk would be immensely helpful.
