Cloning not possible because of incorrect disk space calculations.

Thread needs solution

I have a harddrive with 500 GB which consists of two partitions of 250 GB each.
On each partition only 60 GB are in use.

I wanted to clone one partition with ATI 2015 on a 250 GB SSD drive. However ATI 2015 calculates that I need 78 GB more free disk space on the SSD. That puzzled me a little since only 2 x 60 GB are in actual use, but since I only wanted to clone one partition anyway I excluded the complete second partition. ATI2015 does a recalculation and now tells me that I do need 230 GB additional free space on the SSD. So by excluding a complete partition of 250GB wich contains 60 GB data I need not less but more free disk space on the target drive.

Hello murry,

do you start cloning in Windows of from a bootable media?

Thank you.
