Do I Still Need True Image After Migrating to a New Harddrive?
My 256 GB SSD (Solid State Drive) on my Windows 8.1 PC got full (it was my C: drive and where the OS was installed). So to rectify the problem I bought a 1 TB SSD to replace the full drive. The package came with Acronis True Image 2014. I used TI to complete the transfer of the C: drive contents (operating system drive) to the new 1 TB drive. After the new install was completed, I restarted the machine with just the 1 TB drive and everything has worked wonderfully. TI did it's job. The 256 GB SSD was not even installed in the machine.
So I had thought of the TI software as a one time use to aid my migration. But I notice that "Acronis True Image 2014" still shows up in the running programs. In addition there are four background processes (Acronis Scheduler 2 and Acronis Scheduler Helper, Acronis TIB Mounter Monitor (32 bit), and Acronis True Image Monitor (32 bit) running constantly.
So since my intended purpose for the Acronis software was accomplished, is there any reason I still need all these programs running? Is there some value I should be using within TI? I use CrashPlan for backup and several Cloud storage plans (Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, iCloud, etc.).
If I don't need it, will I cause any harm to just uninstall it?
Thanks for the help.

However, you would be wise to maintain a rigorous backup protocol, whether you use only the acronics BootCD of have the program installed on the machine you have migrated to. ATI2014 is one of the best editons of the program, bar none. If you want an extremely simplified version, try ATI2015. If you don't use ATI, use something else. Making regular backups is like going to the dentist, you need to be reminded to go, but sooner or later you'll regret it if you don't going.
