Add New Disk Wizard Question
I hope this is the right place to put this question. I have a Seagate 4TB SSHD that I installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on. It left 1678.02 GB of unallocated space. I couldn't stand the empty space so I read up on how to create an extended volume so I could use the space and created it. Recently I decided I want to install another copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on that space because I have some simulation software that won't run side by side. Right now I have one drive that says it is two disks, the second (virtual I guess) disk is the unallocated portion of the main drive. With the Add New Disk open it shows the virtual disk with the 1678.02 GB as unallocated. If I initialize the disk in GPT layout will I be able to install my second copy of Windows on that portion of the disk?

Thanks for the reply Enchantech, Currently when I try to install Windows the disk doesn't show up in the custom install menu. Is that bad news?

I got the disk to show with an MBR format but when I try to install Windows I get these two errors
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Windows could not determine if this disk and its parent devices have the necessary driver support.
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu.
It's the same physical disk that's already running Windows on another partition. Am I being told that I can not install Windows on an extended volume?
