Unable to mount tib file from Windows Explorer

Thread needs solution

I have a multi-boot system (Win 8, Win 8.1, Win 10 and Ubuntu)
I am also running True Image Home 2015

In Win 8 - my main Operating System, I can no longer just click a tib file and have it mount as a virtual drive in Windows Explorer (a screen appears asking what program I want to use to open the file - I navigate to C:\Windows\explorer.exe - and am told I cannot associate tib files with that program).

In Win 8.1 and Win 10 I can just click the same tib file and have it mount as a virtual drive in the respective Windows Explorers = WORKS PERFECTLY

Clearly there is nothing wrong with the tib file.

In Win 8, I have uninstalled TIH 2015, and used the Clean-up tool. Reinstalled TIH 2015 and nothing is resolved. I fiddled with the registry with catastrophic consequences - luckily I had a Win 8 Backup that I recoverd using the TIH 2015 rescue CD. I have also checked my Win 8 Device Manager program (Acronis Devices ~ "Acronis TIB Mounter" is present and is reported as working properly.

I want to keep using Win 8 because my laptop has 4 x USB 3.0 ports and Win 8 handles them so much better than Win 8.1 or Win 10.

No matter what I try I don't seem to be able to mount my tib files in Win 8 Windows Explorer as a virtual drive

Could you give me some way of mounting tib files in Win 8 that are clearly mountable in Win 8.1 and Win 10

Thanks in Anticipation

Is TI 2015 TI installed on version 8.0 ? An installation is needed for the explorer to function and read the file.

Yes - I have TI 2015 (build 6613) installed in each my Windows installations on my multi-boot pc (Win 8, Win 8.1 and Win 10)
