Problem recovering data.

Thread needs solution

I recently reinstalled Windows (Vista Business) following fitting new board, CPU and extra memory. I am attempting to recover software and data from backups done using external hard drive. Iam using my Acronis Bootable Resue Disk. When I click on Bootmenu I get the following message: E:\RECOVE 2\bootmenu.exe
This system does not support fullscreen mode.
Choose "close" to terminate the application.

Where do I go from here ? Thanks for any assistance.

Perhaps, the new motherboard has a chipset that the drivers on the rescue CD don't recognise.

Have you used the rescue CD successfully with the old motherboard, you might have a corrupted CD.

What version and build of TI are you using?

If you've installed Vista, then I suggest downloading and installing th elatest build of whatever version of TI you are using and make another resuce CD. I'd also download the ISO version that will appear in your account as that uses different drivers.

If you intend to recover a complete imageover the top of your current OS installation, then it is possible Vista will not boot due to possible different chipset.

On the other hand if all you require is to retrieve files (but not programs) then mounting or exploring the image in the Windows based version of TI is all you need to do. Just drag the files across.
