A second 'hidden' scheduled backup?? - NOW SOLVED

Thread needs solution

When a backup is made - the log shows it to be completed.
However the coloured code indicates a failure!

If I go to the log - my scheduled back up is shown, HOWEVER, there is a second entry that is timed 15 mins before the 'main event' takes place.
If I delete this log entry - immediately the failed colour indication disappears.
Then at Midnight the indicator shows a colour change to green to show that the backup has been successful.

Can anyone kindly explain how/what/where this mystery log entry comes from, and how do I correct it?
Thanks in advance for your help

PS - using ATI 2010 home on window 7 32 bit

Many thanks for your response - regret I cannot get my head around the opening actions, essentially.........

Please re-start Acronis scheduler, it appears that the scheduler service has been installed improperly.

- "Download a special Acronis utility; ?
I think this link is out of date anyway, and both the word Acronis and utility are separately underlined? which confuses me a little.

- Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;..... this I can do, but the next instruction
- Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:" that is a mystery to me.
I must be thick, but perhaps someone could kindly help me through my confusion.

I would comment that I have ATI on 2 computers, and when I checked the timing of the schedules.... I believed them to be too close. I have (on a gut feeling) spaced them well away from each other and will see how it goes.

Thanks again for your time, and keep the suggestions coming chaps.

The prior instructions were for 2010.

Here is a more recent link for the same situation.

You can alos look at the Scripts folder and you can use Notepad to look at the contents of each script (tib.tis file)
to determine which might be involved.

Hi GroverH
Many thanks for your time and response to my query - much appreciated. It would appear that the second response and its plan of action is really beyond my understanding.... so I will play safe and leave well alone on this occasion.

The only thing that I can think of is to do a total uninstall (inc registry entries) and do a re install?
Again many thanks
C

This annoyance has now been fixed. As indicated in earlier post I thought about doing an uninstallation and re-install.
Following uninstall, I went manually through the registry to esponge all evidence of Acronis entries.
After a re-install (this time I did a 'typical' install rather than the 'full' option. Now all is well, and no signs of additional hidden backup entrys.
