Boot recovery with F11 does not work

Thread needs solution

Boot recovery with F11 does work with TI14 on PC with SSD, not for TI16 on Microsoft Surface 3.

Both systems are with Win 10.

I have a feeling that it has never worked in ATI 2016. There were numerous reports of it not working during beta testing, and I tried it twice recently and it did not work (Windows 10 Pro 64). In my case the issue may in part be hardware/OS problem. My Microsoft keyboard frequently looses the FKey Lock when it reboots. Did not do this with Win 8.1 Pro 64.

I suggest giving product feedback through the ATI 2016 interface: click on help (book icon) and the select 'send feedback'.

I have a surface 3 with bitlocked drive. If I try to set up boot recover with F11 ATI says "not possible with bitlock".

If the entire system partition is encrypted that makes sense as there will presumably be no way to unencrypted the files for the recovery environment.

Hi if SF3 pro behaves like SF2 Pro you have to disable "secure boot control" in Bios to get F11 Startup recovery working.
Its same like if you wanna boot the Surface from a USB drive.

After work is done enable secure boot again and "restore Default secureboot keys".

Hello, WGlobal

This behavior is expected - the limitation has been introduced because when Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is activated, True Image needs to overwrite the Master Boot Record, and this can lead to undesirable consequences if you have BitLocker enabled.
