Does the 2016 ATrueImage product create a "Log" file for backups or recoveries?

c:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\logs

It is the files marked "service" which can be the most help.

If you use the program option "notification", you can have your computer

send you an email with the pass/fail results of each  backup at time of action.

If referring to the results of a RecoveryCD, these have to be viewed before leaving the CD.

Not sure of the address for these.

I had a backup failure this morning and searched for the log file in TI 2015. I expected there to be one like in TI2014.

There's no mention of a log file or information on errors in the manual or help file. There was no clue as what caused it to fail. While researching the backup started and completed without error.

All I can figure is that I rebooted the computer when I first turned it on that aborted the backup. After rebooting Acronis said the backup failed but then resumed and completed.

This is terrible to leave the customer with not idea how to fix the failure!

Like many have said, I am speechless. They really did way with the easy to read, easy to access, very useful log file? There has to be some malevolent reason doing away with it.  There's no way that a pile of Acronis people did not realize how annoying it would be to the customers. Probably not that complicated: w/o the log more people will have to pay for support.  Anybody know of good alternatives to TIH?

I updated my Microsoft Surface 3 tablet and two desktop computers from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. The tablet had Acronis 2015 which I upgraded to 2016. Acronis 2016 is a little better than Acronis 2015 but both have crippled features and a barely useable user interface. My two desktops have Acronis 2014 which runs fine and is so much better. My advice is don't waste your money, time and patience on updating!
