Acronis True Image 2016 hangs on startup

I am running Windows 10x64 and have plenty of hard disk free. I have rebooted my machine, same issue occurs...

When starting Acronis True Image 2016, it hangs with the "Loading, please wait". I am still able to select Create bootable media and Enter serial number, seem to work. But cannot get past the 'please wait'.

I noticed that my cloud subscription has just expired. Acronis seems to hang as soon as the Cloud button appears at the startup screen.

 

Could this be related?

I believe that yes, the Cloud expiration could well be related to your issue.  There have been some issues with the Cloud service lately that have yet to be sorted.  I would suggest that you be as patient as possible while the app attempts to call home as it where and see if it will eventually connect with the Acronis servers.  Not the best answer I know but short of an uninstall/reinstall (even that may not work) I don't think you will get past the hang.
