Acronis locks up encrypted partitions
Hello. I have an encrypted partition on my system, and have also used TI2013 for more than two years without issue.
Since upgrading to TI2016 I cannot mount the partition as it tells me that the host device is in use by or open in another program.
So my question is, how do I stop TI2016 from locking up the partition and preventing me from being able to mount/decrypt it?
TIA, Mike.

Did you first uninstall 2013 before you installed 2016? Your description sounds like remnants from the 2013 installation are causing this behavior.
Below is a link to the 2013 cleanup utility which will remove completely that previous installation:

Below is a link to the 2015 cleanup utility which will remove completely the 2016 installation:

I would recommend that you remove/uninstall the 2016 product and run that cleanup utility first, reboot the machine and then run the 2013 cleanup utility, reboot, and then reinstall the 2016 product.

Thanks for the answers. Yes I did uninstall 2013 first, and doing a bit of experimenting with services it seems that turning off the nonstop backup service does the trick and allows me to now mount the partition.
Hope this proves useful to someone in the future with the same problem, but as for me I think I'll revert to 2013 for the following reasons.
1) I found the file shredder tool occasionally useful but this seems to be MIA in 2016.
2) The list of backup jobs seems to want to list not only the task but each spanned part of the image created by it, meaning a lot of clutter to scroll through.
3) Most importantly, I can barely read the interface with the new colour scheme used on the right side. The combination of text colour and background colour have given me a headache each time I've used it, and it is a struggle to read for me.
Thanks again for the help though.
