ISOLinux bootloader not loading.

Thread needs solution

I have a new HP Pavilion DV6 2113SA running 7 HP 64. The Acronis bootloader (ISOLinux, from a link supplied by Acronis) gets to the ramdisk loading......... but then sits there with a blank screen, the CD works on another system OK although it is a 32 bit system.
The Build is True Image 2010 7046.

Any suggestions please?

Have you tried using the TI CD created using TI?

Have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the Read Before You Post thread? You should also be able to try this with the ISO download CD by pressing F11 at the "Starting Acronis Loader..." text and entering it.

Whether Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit shouldn't make any difference when booting the TI CD.

Now this is somewhat weird. Like I said, it would load the kernel.dat and ramdisk. dat and just sat there at the prompt with a black screen. I tried that about 6 times and it wouldn't work.

This morning, after reading your post I pressed F11 quite a few times even though I didn't get the multi option screen. Nothing happened so I rebooted and this time the loader continued right up to the GUI and I am now able to use the program! I don't think I did anything else that might have caused it to start working. I had already removed TI and reinstalled then created another ISOLINUX CD.

Maybe it was just a bit of fluff on the CD! Anyway, I'm working now.
Thanks for the suggestions MudCrab.
