Why does TI 2010 simply abort the backup?

Thread needs solution

What frustrates me with TI 2010 is its inability when the backup device, in my case a separate 500GB hard drive, runs out of space during a backup job to wait for user intervention. Instead the program joyfully terminates the backup job. I have attempted the same backup job no less than 3 times after freeing up space only to discover that TI just gave up. Yes I know it can delete old files itself but why not have an option or capability like the old TI 7 I think did when it sat there waiting for operator intervention. A human being can make decisions in this type of situation better than TI can!

Hello PC Guy,

Let me assist you.

It seems you've experienced a well-known issue with 10 minutes timeout, i.e. if some task requires a user interaction and you won't respond in 10 minutes, then the task will be aborted.

Our developers are already aware of this issue and they're working on a fix. Unfortunately, there's no ETA for it yet. Once I have any updates on the status of the issue I'll update you.

Additionally I have forwarded your complaint to the responsible person.

Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.

Thank you.
