Not getting three computers when I buy TI 2016 for three computers.

Thread needs solution

I put TI on many of my client's computers so I buy the three computer versions. So far I've bought 4 2016 licenses which should allow me to put it on 12 computers.  It seems like I activate a license on two computers and suddenly it's saying I don't have any more left.  I could be wrong but I keep pretty good track of these things.  One thing that makes it difficult is that many of my clients have Dell computers and so their computer names are all the same Owner-PC.  When it pops up and says that I don't have any more activations left and I say I want to shift a license from an existing computer, several will says Owner-PC, so I don't have any idea which of the computers they're referring to.

Am I imagining this or have other people found this to be true? Is there any way of knowing which licenses apply to which computers?

Thanks,

Alan

HI Alan,

I'd check directly with Acronis for licensing issues - it is supported and they should be able to help sort you out with verifying and/or activating licenses.  I have not run into your issue as I have unique names for all of my PC's, but could see this as a potential problem if clients systems are using the same name since they do seem to be identified by name and not by MAC address or some other type of identifier.  Hopefully, you can get the assistance you're looking for directly from technical support though.
