Backup fails but succeds

Thread needs solution

I backup on an XP Pro system, using True Image Home 2010

I get the following error message: 1 Error 7/15/2010 3:38:16 AM No such script 'C986506B-60B3-4F55-A95A-BFF3EEB07B43'.
2 Warning 7/15/2010 3:38:16 AM Failed to process pair script:C986506B-60B3-4F55-A95A-BFF3EEB07B43.
3 Error 7/15/2010 3:38:16 AM Operation has completed with errors.

I get two such error messages even though the first of three backups has succeeded.

I have tried a clean install.

What is this "no such script" and how can I purge it?

Thank you. Joe B,

Hello Joseph!

Thank you for finding time to open the thread regarding this issue. I'll be glad to help.

This usually happens when there are some traces of deleted tasks left in the registry. It doesn't affect product's functionality, but may be rather annoying.

In order to resolve the issue, please, do the following:

  1. Run Acronis Scheduler Manager and issue the following command
    task zap
This will clear all tasks traces from the machine
  2. Download Scheduler Update and run it. It will update all necessary components
  3. Reboot the machine
  4. Recreate the tasks

This should solve the issue.

Dear Yana,

Thank you for your help.

After going through steps 1 - 3. the scheduled tasks were there again, and I did not have to recreate them. I hope that this does not cause a problem.

Tonight Acronis will run a backup, and that should be the acid test.

I have some further questions:

Where are the steps you outlined documented? I could not find them.

Is there a way of getting rid of archive locations from past backups, from previous installation?

How large should Secure Zone be?

Thank you for your help.
