Conflict with AVG Tune-up?

Thread needs solution

Used to have no problem with paid version of Acronis True Image 2014, suddenly had back-up (all four back-ups same problem) stop after appearing to start back-up: "Backing up 10mb (actually folder is about 3GB) - 1 minute remaining." Peripheral hard drive lite on, previous back-ups there OK - nothing new written. When stopped, says, "Last backup has failed. Error occurred while backing-up. Check for sulution" Of course so solution found so, seeing there was a new 2017 version, I bought and installed it. Precisely the same problem with the 2017 as with the 2014. neptune, welcome to these user forums.

Not heard of any conflicts with AVG Tune-up being reported in these forums for any recent version of ATIH.

Please download the MVP Log Viewer app (link in my signature) and check what messages are shown in the logs for the backup task(s) giving the problem.

How long have you waited when you are seeing this issue?  This sounds more likely to be a Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) issue from the limited information so far though AFAIK ATIH 2014 didn't use VSS as used the inbuilt Acronis Snapshot function to do the same function as VSS.

I'd try re-selecting your source and destination in a backup job and see if that helps as well.  Hard to say without more information, but if the disk partition changed at all (Windows 10 upgrade, resizing, a rescent disk or pariition recovery), or you've changed the backup disk - all of those will require you to re-select the source and destination as the old references will no longer exist.
