ATI 2017 will not install on Windows 10x64 Creators edition

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded my PC to Windows 10x64 Creators edition.  I bought a copy of ATI 2017 months ago and finally wanted to install it.  I ran the setup file from the CD and it began installing. It downloaded the latest version 8053 before installing.  I ran the setup.exe as administrator.  My windows user account is also an administrator. It ended in the error below.

I have tried using the Microsoft fix as well as the cleanup tool.  Installation still fails.

How do I fix the problem and get ATI 2017 installed?

Did you follow the instructions found here:

I was able to install ATI 2017 first by running the microsoft fix it tool and ATI cleanup tool. Then I downloaded the latest ATI 2017 8053 (current) and ran as administrator.

It seems it the copy I bought earlier this year had to update to 8053 which became the problem.  Downloading the complete ATI 8053 solved the issue.

Excellent, glad to hear that you got it sorted.
