After restore with universal restore system boots but keeps installing drivers with every boot.
I have restored a windows 7 embedded version on other hardware.
It boots up like it should.
After boot i encounter 2 problems:
1. with every boot all my settings are back to the default and the system needs to install all drivers again. When i manually add the rest of the drivers and reboot these manually installed drivers are also gone again.
Question:
In what way can i stop the system loosing just installed drivers and settings? did i forget something or did i do something wrong?
2. The systems keeps running for 5 to 10 minutes and after this it automatically reboots.
Please advice, thanks

Leslie, welcome to these User Forums.
I have not seen any reports from other users in these forums for any problem like the one you are describing here, and from what you have written, it seems that the initial restore of your Windows 7 backup image to the new hardware has completed successfully, as that is what you are reverting back to after each boot.
The problem sounds therefore to be with how changes to that restored system are being retained or saved on the new hardware, which may be a permissions issue or something else?
The only time when I have seen similar behaviour has been when working with virtual machines where these act like a kiosk application and reset back to their default original state on reboot, as you would get in an internet cafe situation when it is desired to clean any changes made by the users of those systems, eliminate any viruses etc.
