Backup Failed message
Hi All,
Not sure what to do, getting a message backup failed Screenshot. I don't receive an email for the failure, When I test my email option, the test email works and I receive it in my email inbox just fine. Can anyone suggest what is wrong, I tried to run it manually, it runs a long time, creates an output file but never completes.

Steve, have you used the MVP Log Viewer to check for the detailed messages written in the backup task log for this task? If not, please download it from the Community Tools link in my signature and post a copy of the log entries if you need help to understand the content.

Steve, the log looks good to me, so no indication there for why you are seeing the error message in the GUI.
When we've seen this type of problem before, the remedy has been to try cloning the task and running the new (cloned) task to a different destination folder - this will help eliminate a problem with the task script itself.
If you still see the problem, then first try a validation of the task in case there is a problem that can be resolved in the Acronis Database files, otherwise try forcing a rebuild of the Database files.

My Remedy was to totally remove Acronis 2016 and delele and re-install
