TrueImage Home 2010 hangs on launch in Windows 7

I'm running TI Home 2010 on Windows 7. This is a new issue as the product worked fine (well, restores failed, but otherwise Try&Decide and browsing backups worked fine). It now hangs on launch. I get the splash screen and a blank window where the menu would have normally been with a (Not Responding) in the title bar. I'm using a Dell Latitude E6500 w/ a Crucial RealSSD 256GB SSD. I've tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling TI w/ no success.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on? I have a feeling that it may be related to a recent system patch.

Try booting up in safe mode using F8 at startup then open TI>tool and utilities>options and uncheck the automatically check for updates option.
Reboot and hopefully it should work ok again.
