Keeping archives in 2 locations? (external usb and dropbox)

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

I'm trialling the standard server version of ABR 10
Currently backing up to an external USB RDX drive, 500GB capacity. I'm doing "simple"daily differentials.

I'd like to keep a copy of a full system backup offsite (on dropbox). what would be the best way to accomplish this?

assuming that i have spare space on dropbox, how do i then copy differential archives to dropbox, keeping within a limit of x GB? i have appox 40GB space on dropbox, the full archive is about 18GB, leaving 22Gb for additional archives.

Im confused about which backup scheme to use basically..

any advice greatly appreciated..

There is a dual destination option which copies the archive to a second location in one run.

Hello Martin and Jeremy!

Thank you for your question and comments! I understand the scenario and will be glad to shed the light to the situation.

Dear Martin, Jeremy is right, but only partially: we do have a Dual Destination option, that allows to save the backup to 2 different locations simultaneously, but this option is available only when the primary backup destination is a local folder or Acronis Secure Zone and the secondary destination is another local folder or network share. Managed vaults and FTP servers are not supported as secondary destinations.

You can find more information about it in the User's Guide, 3.3.1.17 Dual destination, p. 67.
