Rebate Warning

Thread needs solution

Several months ago I purchased ATIH 2010 when Acronis was offering a $30 rebate and I haven't heard a thing since. Over the last week I've called Acronis several times but the people I spoke with don't know what to do to help me. They claim to be tech support and can't transfer me to nor give me the phone number of the right people to speak with.

In order to get your rebate you must fill out a form and that form would have been available from the website where you made your purchase.

If you still have your original email where the rebate was promised, then send a copy of your email to the customer contacts in the support section of the Acronis website (upper right corner of this page).

I bought ATIH 2010 from the local Micro Center and was provided the rebate form at the time of purchase. I subsequently completed it and sent it along with all requested information to the El Paso address.

Last night I engaged an Acronis support person in chat and his immediate and only recommendation was to contact Micro Center for the rebate.

rebate processing is a shady business. its best to keep a copy of everything prior to mailing it off so you can dispute their common claims that you didn't include the UPC, or whatever. The mfrs usually don't get involved, the rebate processing is contracted out, so if you don't have a record of where you sent it chances are slim you're going to get anywhere with Acronis. They are also slow to process, so maybe yours will show up in the next few weeks. Good luck.
