Acronis TI is hanging during startup
Running the latest version of Windows 10, when I try and start ATI, the progress meter gets about 1/2 way, then it hangs. I rebooted my PC, same thing. I have the Acronis cleanup tool. If I run that, will it delete all of my backups I have on this PC?
UPDATE: I found the reason Acronis was hanging is that one of my external USB drives was disconnected, i.e., not mounted. I cycled power to the external USB drive, and Acronis started normally. Happy days are here again!

In reply to Bernard, the cleanup tool… by truwrikodrorow…

I ran the ATI installer and performed a repair. This took about an hour, and afterwards it still hangs.
I have three backups on this PC, one to a USB drive, another USB drive to the cloud, and the PC itself to the cloud. If I re-install ATI, can I hook up these backups to a fresh install of ATI? If I lose these backups I'm going to look for another backup solution.

I'm glad your problem is fixed but I'm having trouble understanding what the problem was. When you say " I try and start ATI, the progress meter gets about 1/2 way, then it hangs" do you mean that you are starting the GUI and the GUI's initialization hangs up? (Like in "Applying user settings".) Or do you mean that you are trying to initiate a backup and the backup hangs half way through?
I don't understand why a disconnected external drive would hang up initialization of the GUI. If that is what you mean, it might be worth opening an incident with Acronis support even though you've fixed your problem.
Actually, I don't understand the hang at all. If the problem occurs during a backup I would expect the backup to fail rather than hang. I don't think a hang is ever the intended behavior. Acronis support should be told about such occurrences.
