Hangs on Initialize Partition + Error "Read from Sector"

Thread needs solution

Hi,

we have updated our Acronis Snap Deploy 4 to Snap Deploy 5. We use it to create Recovery USB-Sticks.

When we now create a bootable USB Device with "Standalone Utillity" and "Master Image Creator" on it and boot on the target device to create an Image it will stay for ~10 secounds at "Initialize Partitions" and then displays "Error: Read from Sector... aborted". If i say "Retry" it continue to Source-Device Screen. At Destination Screen i get an crash when select the "Removable Device" wich is also the Boot-Stick.

At our older created USB-Sticks with Snap Deploy 4 there is no error and everything is fine on the same device. Could it be an driver-issue with the intern mSATA SSD ? What to do now to fix this?

Target Device: Logic Instrument Fieldbook I1

BIOS-Settings on target device: Secure-Boot disabled, Legacy-Boot enabled and prefers, SATA-Mode cant be accessed.

USB-Stick: Transcend USB 3.0 64GB, formated to FAT32

Hello Chris,

If a bootable media created with Acronis Snap Deploy 4 can successfully image the system and the newer one - not, it's worth raising a support ticket to investigate the issue.

As a diagnostic step you may want trying to create a WinPE based bootable media which has better support of various hardware configurations thanks to the Windows driver pack.

Thanks for the advice. I will try the WinPE based version first. Also didnt know that there be a possibillity to send an support ticket to Acronis directly by login to the account-interface!

Best regards,

Chris
