system transfer question
Hi.
The ssd in my laptop doesn't have enough space so i want to but a larger one. My question is how can i transfer the entire system from my old ssd to a new one?
My ssd is m.2, i guess i cannot plug two ssds into my laptop simultaneously and just clone it.
Thank you

Thank you for reply.
I still have a question. After creating a backup, removing the ssd and installing the new one, how to restore from backup with no system or software in my computer.

Ba Fan, you will need to create the Acronis bootable Rescue Media in order to do the restore, and this needs to be booted in the same BIOS mode as your Windows OS uses.
In Windows, run the msinfo32 command and check what is shown for BIOS mode in the report that is produced - this should probably be UEFI if your computer is relatively new.
See KB 59877: Acronis True Image 2017: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media for examples of using the bootable rescue media in the different modes that are supported.
I would recommend that you create and test the rescue media before attempting the recovery, make sure that you can see / select your current M.2 SSD drive - if it is not shown, you may need to add device drivers to the rescue media for the SSD.
