Windows XP Crash

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I have True Image 11 Home Full Edition.
After a long time I want to make a new backup. In the moment when I click on Backup the Windows System Crash and the machine restart.
After restart I got the Windows message that the computer was restarted after a problem. From Windows Error Reporting I got the information that the reason is a device driver (STOP-Error).

Because this I got the newest build of Acronis True Image 11 Home and installed it. Also at the end of the install process Windows crash.

The Windows is XP Professional 2002 with SP3.

With no other software I have problems on the computer. Any solutions?

Regards Thomas

Did it previously work on your makchine or have yo havd this probelm from the start.

If from the start, it's possibly an installation error, for which I recommend trying to install using msconfig.exe to disable all nonmicrosoft services and all startu programs before doing uninstall or install.

This reduces chances that antoher prog will interfere with the installation of drivers that ATI needs to work.

you can get help on using ms config here:

http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/index.html

The you c4rashed after the install is an indication of a bad installation.

If using msconfig doesn't help, then you probably should contact support Chat.

Hi Scott,

no, the problem isn't from the start. I made a full backup with True Image in February - there it works.

But I will try to reinstall True Image with your hint.
