Been backing up to one drive, now got two, what to do?

Thread needs solution

Hi all,
First time poster here. I've been backing up to a single external hard drive for about 7-8 months now. I only back up once or twice a week and given that it contains business data I would prefer to have a backup of the backup!

I've read the forum entry on having alternating disks but I don't know if that applies here given that I've been running an incremental backup for so long.

I was thinking the most obvious solution is that periodically I should just do a full backup of backup disk 1 to backup disk 2. If that is the recommended approach would I use Acronis or just a copy/paste via Windows?

Any help from anyone would be really appreciated.

If all you want is a second copy of the your backups on another disk, yes you can do that with Explorer, which is the simplest method. Especially given that you are using external drives, which, I assume, are not always connected.

Otherwise, if you want a task set up to do it on a schedule, and the drives will always be conected when the task is set to run, then you probably want to set up a task in ATI to either backups the tibs ( a file backup) or a complete backup of the disk.
