Two odd .tib files in my Temp folder

Thread needs solution

I just got an Active Protection warning that Cleanmgr.exe was trying to access a .tib file. I found two .tib files in the Temp folder with names SNW+6B18.tib and AHq5+rWG.tib, both 0 size.

These were both created one day last week when I was using the MVP WinPE Builder so I suspect they created them, but I would like a verification from the MVPs about that.

Now, if I can just figure out why Cleanmge.exe was running automatically.

Hi Bruno, I haven't come across any similar .tib files in my temp folders after using the MVP builder tool or using the MVP media so not sure how those you found came about?

Cleanmgr.exe is used by the automated Windows Maintenance process, which normally runs when the system is deemed to be 'idle', where one of the tasks is to clean up temporary files.

Thanks, Steve. My backup theory is that it is related to downloading .tib files from Google Drive. Maybe some temporary residue that didn't get deleted.

Yeah, I found the scheduled task. I had thought Disk Cleanup was still manual.
