Are Backups To Networked Drives Now Supported
I recently posted a question concerning my difficulty of backing up to a networked drive which is actually a standalone hard drive plugged into the USB port of my Belkin Router, which supports a hard drive plugged directly into the router. This drive will show up as an attached device under My Computer as long as it is operational. My backup from a networked pc at home always failed, although it worked fine on the base pc attached to the router by ethernet cable. No one ever replied to my post, and I even complained to tech support in general about the fact that they do not have an Acronis guru to monitor the forums and address questions that the user community does not reply to. I finally did some extensive research on previous user submissions, and found that my problem was chronically encountered by other users, and that Acronis never solved it. Finally I ran across a post by a user than fixed it himself by fiddling with one of the Acronis support data files. He claimed that the fix worked for him, although his fix was used for scheduled backups, and not continuous backups. My question is, has Acronis addressed itself to this problem in TIH Version 11 or does it continue to ignore the problem? I'm loathe to upgrade with the problem unresolved, and I am really perturbed that Acronis will not confront what is apparently a common bug.

That's at least a definitive answer, although it's a disappointing one. Thank you.
