Cannot backup FROM a FAT32 removable drive

Thread needs solution

I have been using TrueImage Home 2009 (WinXP 32-bit) to back up a FAT32 removable drive (the SD card in my Android phone). Now I went to a different computer (Win7 64-bit) which is running Home 2011, Update 1 (build 6597). The removable drive never shows as an available drive for backing up! Again, this is fine with 2009. It was fine on the second computer when it was running WinXP 64-bit and TI 2009. Only after I upgraded that machine to Win7/64 and 2011 did the removable drive disappear from the drives available for backup. SO it's NOT the hardware on the second system. Anyway the removable drive shows fine in the explorer on the second system.

What's going on?

Hello Robert,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting. I will do my best to assist you.

If I understood the issue correctly, the SD card is detected fine by Windows 7 but our software fails to detect it?

There are several reasons for this behavior, it could be a third party application is blocking our software's access to that device. Please go through this troubleshooting guide and if it does not help, please collect this report and contact our Support team so that we can investigate this problem.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
