True Image Home 2011 Installer won't start
Hello,
A couple of days ago I bought True Image Home 2011 and the Plus Plack -- both are Dutch versions.
I am running on a cleanly installed WinXP SP3 (English) installation with all latest updates installed. Before I bought the software I downloaded and installed the trial version of home 2011, the English version.
Upon first execution of the True Image 2011 installer (the Dutch version, the one that I bought), it started up as expected and it informed me that a version was already installed and I needed to uninstall that via control panel etc.
Now, my problem, after I uninstalled the English ("trial") version, the installer of the Dutch version won't start up anymore. If I start it: click-click to start up, the hourglass will show up shortly to indicate that something is about to happen, but then the regular mousepointer is shown again and the installer never starts up.
I have rebooted, turned of the power, downloaded the installer again (even though I don't expect it is a file corruption, since it did start before), cleaned temp-files/prefetch, etc. But unfortunately all without a positive outcome.
If I have to guess, I'm probably being sabotaged by an incorrect DLL version or something of the kind -- but guessing is not my strongest point.
By the way, the PlusPack installer does start up, but that of course won't install anything because home 2011 is not yet installed.
I hope anyone can shed some light on this for me.
Thank you,
Willem.

Hello all,
Thank you for posting and thank you for your assistance Grover.
Willem, I will do my best to assist you.
In addition to Grover's suggestions, you can try installing the program from the .msi package. I will send it to you via a pm since in order to extract an .msi file from the executable package, the package has to be started.
Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you.
