Dialog box on system startup TimeounterMonitor.exe MSVCP80.dll
After installing Acronis 2010, every time I startup the computer and login I get a dialog box that has
"TimounterMonitor.exe - Unable To Locate Component" as the dialog box title and the message
"This application has failed to start because MSCVP80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
After using "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel to remove Acronis and retarting I get the same message, and also an addition message, "TrueImageMinitor.exe - Unable To Locate Component, This application has failed to start because afcdpapi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
I also have an older Acronis True Image Home in the Add or Remove Programs Currently installed Programs, but it will not unistall. I fails after awhile with the message "" and backs out.
After a restart, I was able to uninstall the previous version, but then XP would get a blue screen on startup. . . and it would not even boot in Safe Mode. I reverted to previous configuration on startup and the system is not running, but I am very concerned about what has just happened. Not good!
The computer is running Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Please advise.

I seem to be having a similar problem to the one Howard had last year. My Acronis True Image Home 2010 seems to be working OK but the Monitor won't start when I boot up
I get the message:
"This application has failed to start because afcdpapi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
I am using TrueImageHome 2010 13.0.0.7046 and Windows XP SP3 and, as I say, the image backup seems to work well.
I thought that it might make sense to download and install the latest version of the product (2010.7154_S_UK.exe) but when I did so, I got the following message:
"The error was encountered while the installation. "Another version of the product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot be continued. In Control Panel open add/Remove Programs to configure or remove the existing version of this product."
When I tried to do this, I got the message:
"The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your Support personnel"

Dear James,
Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern, and will do my best to assist you.
afcdpapi.dll is our driver, probably, it got incorrectly assigned. We'll need to remove the product manually, and in order to do it we need to find out what exactly is failing to get properly removed by Add\Remove programs.
Please provide us with MSI log and Windows System Information from the problem machine. This information will shed the light to the issue, and help us to find and appropriate solution.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!

Dear Yana
Thank you very much for coming back to me quickly - I appreciate it.
I attach the MSI log and the Windows System Information from my "problem" machine as requested and hope that they will be of assistance.
I should add that, since I raised this question, I have actually successfully restored my system from the current Acronis True Image backup, so that that part of the software appears to be working fine. It is only the Monitor (what does it do, by the way?) and the upgrade.
I very much look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Jim
