Acronis True Image 2020 Linux Agent

Thread needs solution

I am looking at upgrading my home standalone version Acronis True Image 2017 (3 machines) > Acronis True Image 2020 I have a new LNX Mint lmde DEB. I was hoping in 2020 to find a linux agent for the newer backup. But it seems that the only way to pickup Linux support is through the "Acronis Cyber Backup" and the price point is a deal breaker for me. Is there an agent for Linux backup for Acronis?

John, welcome to these public User Forums.

Acronis True Image is only available for install on either Windows or Mac OS systems, there is no install app available for using within a Linux OS unless you go to the Acronis Business product range.

However, ATI 2020 for Windows can backup Linux EXT2/3/4 partitions when used with either a dual-boot system scenario, or else when booting from the ATI Rescue Media.

Backup of Linux file systems is restricted to Disks & Partitions backups - there is no ability to do Files & Folders type backup of these file systems.

John, you should consider the annual Acronis True Image product cycle. A new version is release towards the end of August, and the prior version goes out of support not long after. If I were you I would wait until the release of ATI 2021 if possible before upgrading.
